General Electric, the world’s third largest company, owns 17,996 patents and has one of the world’s most extensive technology libraries. With such a large IP base, GE needed a tailored, flexible approach to communicate the value of its technologies to its diverse group of potential licensees.
GE’s internal incubator partnered with fuseproject to assess 10 of its emerging technologies and develop them into compelling end-to-end business propositions—from product concepts to market sizing. With these 10 technologies, fuseproject developed 19 holistic opportunities including product concepts, categories and market sizes, as well as penetration projections. After developing these opportunities, we evaluated each of them and made recommendations to maximize market potential.
